About the Bar

Fortuna Flats is designed to be the perfect energy bar before or during a workout. The low fat content is key for quick and easy digestion. The high protein content kickstarts muscle recovery, especially after a busy day of work or class without great nutrition. The high sugar content gives your body the energy it needs, while the high fiber content prevents an immediate blood sugar spike. Unlike most plant proteins, soy protein is a highly digestible and complete protein, with the highest possible protein digestibility score of 1.0, the same as eggs or milk. This enables Fortuna Flats to be highly nutritious while remaining vegan, gluten free, and nut free.

About Me

Hi, I'm Adam. I am a tutor at the San Diego City College MESA and Math center, as well as a full time student at SDCCD. This fall I will be transferring to UC Berkeley for Electrical Engineering. I love to workout, and often go to the gym after a busy day of work and class. This is when I realized there were no perfect options for a snack I could have right before my gym sessions, so I decided to create my own. I believe that Fortuna Flats fills a necessary gap in the market, and is a truly unique product for all the reasons listed above.
